Description
As the Workplace Design and Connectivity (WD+C) Director, based at Company’s New York City Headquarters (NYHQ), you will be responsible for driving and governing multi-year strategies to inspire the employee experience. Informed by deep understanding of the key Company business functions and organizational objectives at NYHQ, primary responsibilities include acting as central point of contact between the NYHQ leadership team and WD+C functions, ensuring that all aspects of Integrated Workplace Services, food services, space management, service transformation, team moves and maintenance activities are planned and activated. The process will require driving stakeholder alignment through influence and detailed communications with both WD+C cross-functional organizations and NYHQ leadership and operations.
Additional responsibilities include:
ENGAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS: (50%)
• Build and manage critical relationships with NYHQ stakeholders and WD+C organization. This includes various levels of the NYHQ organization & external service provider (ESP) partners that support the organization.
• Be a proactive leader with curiosity and business acumen to understand NYHQ organizational structure, key business processes/gates to become the trusted advisor to drive team productivity. Become an extension of the NYHQ leadership team.
• Lead all critical face to face senior leader engagement.
• Oversee all client facing activities to anticipate collisions or disruption and proactively engage with client and internal WD+C resources to prioritize, adjust & manage communications and engagement appropriately.
• Proactively follow up on issues to assure client feels heard and considered. Be the client experience advocate.
• Discern and synthesize critical engagements for the tracking and oversight of WD+C NA Geo GM & Global WD+C functional leaders. Strong sense of when to escalate and when to self-manage.
BALANCE IMPACT, EFFICIENCY & AGILITY (30%)
• Balance WD+C delivery decisions and communications against NYHQ business need and WD+C strategy while concurrently driving a positive client experience. This includes activities such as NYHQ neighborhood meeting oversight, clear intake to WD+C teams to kick off programs and activities, review of communications tracker, etc.
• Implement and drive consistent processes to maximize productivity within WD+C functional teams and ESP’s.
• Through deep knowledge and appreciation of the WD+C vision & service model, demonstrate creative thinking to provide win/win solutions for both WD+C and the NYHQ.
• Provide insights on the WD+C platform structure and align across leadership ensuring seamless efforts across the enterprise.
TENANT IMPROVEMENT AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY (20%)
• Leverage deep knowledge of WD+C and NYHQ and contribute to creative problem solving to drive process improvement.
• Use of financial acumen to identify opportunities which result in improvements to operational efficiency.
• Advocate for NYHQ needs at key points and offer compromise and sound judgement when offering solutions in a program.
• In partnership with WD+C, present key insights and analysis to recommend actions for improved performance.
Based on your performance and capacity, responsibility for additional NYC Company/Converse site(s) may be added to this Director position.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree and minimum of 8 years directly relevant experience;
• Comprehensive experience as a cross-functional business/process leader or industry expert
• High profile communication, both formal and informal.
• A confident and articulate leader capable of inspiring strong collaboration.
• Ability to story tell and articulate the short- & long-term strategies of all WD+C functions.
• Personal resolve and self-regulation in moments of crisis or communicating hard messages.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
• A track record of effectively manage and solve complex problems
• Ability to manage project, organize and priorities
• Financial and business acumen
