The Role
As an experienced designer you will work alongside our existing design team with a focus on Sweat and Jersey product. This a pivotal role in the development of both new and existing ranges. You will be versatile and dynamic in order to drive newness and innovation across the category with flexibility to work across multiple products, whilst working at pace to deliver against critical path deadlines.

You will
• Design amazing new product in a wide range of fabrics and styles in line with critical path deadlines
• Prepare a series of design ideas and inspirations for each season
• Support with the development of the overall seasonal direction with the team
• Deliver detailed style direction to develop our existing range considering our pricing architecture
• Actively share fresh ideas taking considered risks with key shapes and colours, balancing core and newness
• Research competitors and trend / street style that is relevant and new for our brand
• Take responsibility for knowing our suppliers and their capabilities
• Actively contribute to the sourcing strategy for the Jersey range
• Work alongside Garment Tech to deliver the right fit, look and feel for our Woven range
• Produce detailed and accurate specifications packs for your designs
• Upload and organise your designs onto our `Design Store`
• Combine market knowledge, emerging trends, fabric innovation and strategic direction from the Head of Design to define the aesthetic direction, implementing and developing this into your range
• Proactively monitor best/worst seller activity and suggest actions to help us to continually innovate
You are
• Educated to degree level in Fashion Design at First or Upper Second class level
• An experienced Jersey/Sweat Designer, from a high quality brand, retailer or supplier with a particular focus on graphics
• Vastly experienced in Jersey product with a strong technical knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
• Accustomed to face to face supplier liaison and regular factory visits
• Deeply passionate about our brand and appreciative of the Superdry design handwriting
• Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of our core customer and brand DNA
• Effective at working in a fast-paced team and able to deliver multiple designs per season
• Detail focused with an ability to develop intricate designs with a unique style
• An excellent communicator with an enthusiastic, professional, and engaging manner
• A team player, always positive with a can-do approach
• Adaptable with a flexible approach to your hours and travel
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
