Job Description:
In this role the VP, Strategic Account Planning is responsible for developing the strategies for key enterprise accounts sales growth while driving product and solution usage and innovation based upon Company offerings. This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer, based in New York.
In this role, the VP, Strategic Account planning will oversee a team of global Strategic Account planners who are aligned to key enterprise client accounts and will support the key client account relationship owner.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze accounts business goals, drive product usage, develop strategic vision, identify sales and partnership opportunities, and propose Company news media and content based strategies, plans and solutions
• Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with the accounts senior-level technical decision makers
• Contribute to a virtual team comprised of Company account executives, solutions sales, product specialists, creative services and support, product development and Partners to close sales opportunities
• Influence product development and direction
• Share best practices within accounts and team
• Mentor direct reports
• Candidates should have a strong, proven news media and content background and demonstrate familiarity with the broad range of Company products and solutions
Skills & Experience:
• Pre-sales or strategic consulting and project/program management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• 15+ years in sales, marketing or advertising with specific experience account management strategies
• Significant product experience across membership, media, content and information products
• Extensive strategic planning, risk analysis and business justification
• Significant CXO contact and persuasive presentations
• Strong virtual teaming
• Practical knowledge of Dow Jone propositions or competitive strategies and solutions
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel on a moderate basis
