Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Marketing team, explore opportunities to enable digital discovery and consumption of Sony Music Nashville assets, providing online experiences that enable fans to connect directly with artists and brands. Contribute to development and communication of SMN broader label strategy.
• Lead, develop, and execute overall digital strategy for SMN artists and label, including social media and web campaigns, content development, use of music video content, use of data/analytics, . Ensure campaigns are connected to over-arching artist strategy, including singles released to radio and album releases, as well as digital PR campaigns.
• Identify and develop specific digital opportunities/ partnerships that increase artist exposure, fan engagement, and revenue; manage digital services client relationships for label.
• Direct and oversee day-to-day functions of staff members who are responsible for: management of artist social media, account management, creation of artist digital assets, management of third-party vendors for website creation and contracted marketing campaigns, analysis of online marketing effectiveness, and management of digital advertising.
• Lead digital team to develop social media, content, and SEO strategy and implement resulting marketing campaigns. Develop team to ensure work quality is best-in-class and department culture is collaborative and open.
• Build and maintain strong, effective, collaborative working relationships with artists and artist managers as well as across the business unit.
• Serve as business unit liaison with corporate digital staff, as well as counterparts for digital initiatives at other Sony Music labels (US and international).
• Prepare and distribute information up, down, and across the organization to ensure timely communication and information flow and to enable informed decision-making.
• Continually expand and share knowledge of emerging digital marketing technologies and services. Build new and existing relationships with emerging digital and tech tool companies.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding effectiveness of digital tools by collecting and evaluating marketing response data.
• Manage development, direction and administration of Company website and other label-wide digital initiatives.
