POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for project managing the new store, store expansions and special project process. Effectively communicate on a regular basis with many parts of the organization including: Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Merchandise Operations and Visual.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages the process, execution and follow up of all new stores, store expansions, special projects and various fixture rollout projects.
• Collaborates with the Merchant team and Inventory Management to review, discuss and implement cross-departmental merchandising strategies.
• Project management includes establishing a timeline, developing new processes, policies and tools for new stores, expansions, special projects and various fixture projects (i.e Nail Studio, Rollerball Boutique, etc.).
• Established partnerships with JCPenney Field Managers to discuss individual store requests via conference calls as needed.
• Work closely with JCpenney teams such as Store Planning, SiJCP Store Operations and Communications and Planning and Allocation.
• Partner with Merchant and Planning teams to analyze brand productivity by door in order to influence merchandising strategies and help drive sales.
• Improve processes with SiJCP Store Operations on various store communications regarding in store projects and global company strategies.
• Establish project management process for various fixture and/or brand rollouts and launches with cross functional teams such as Visual, Store Planning, Store Operations and Merchandising Operations.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years retail experience and visual experience a plus
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and make decisions/problem-solve without knowing all the details
• Ability to learn quickly and analyze problems in new ways
• Comfortable leading and participating in a variety of meetings:
• Strong communication and presentation skills (oral, written, interpersonal)
• Comfortable sharing POV with senior management
• Presentation and Command skills
• Strong organizational and time-managemennt skills
