Job Description
Company is seeking a Vice President - Oil & Gas Market Sector Development, to assist in developing Company's oil & gas business, primarily in the midstream/pipeline segment. The position requires strong business development, client service, and technical experience, ideally with a background in Pipeline and Facilities Engineering. The position also requires a solid reputation in the oil & gas industry to support the building and maintaining of important client relationships. The position is full-time and is located in Houston, Texas. The position reports to the SR Vice President, Business Development.
You will be a key member of Company's Oil & Gas Market Sector Development Team, responsible for corporate-wide business development and sales functions relating to Company's oil & gas services. This includes participation in the development of Company's strategic vision for the oil & gas industry, cultivating and maintaining senior level relationships with oil & gas clients, expanding brand awareness of Company in the oil & gas industry while promoting and selling Company services. Company's Oil & Gas Market Sector Development Team, including this position, is directly responsible for the profitable revenue growth and backlog development in the oil & gas business as defined by the Oil & Gas Market Sector Plan.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain corporate relationships with key and strategic clients focused on midstream (pipeline, processing, terminal) companies
• Build strategic company-to-company relationships with key enterprise-wide decision makers
• Manage targeted client accounts to leverage growth
• Nurture long-term relationships to become client's "Trusted Advisor"
• Understand and articulate our value proposition, positioning us to take advantage of our clients' growth strategies
• Develop and manage sales pursuits in the midstream oil & gas market.
• Establish revenue growth and create backlog in the oil & gas market segment of Company; ensure the achievement of revenue growth that meets or exceeds Company's targets for each Fiscal Year
• Work with senior Company management to develop, prioritize, and implement market strategies, achieve market penetration
• Collaborate with Company's operating service lines to pursue new business opportunities and initiatives within the oil & gas market.
• Develop accurate and timely thought leadership pieces including fact sheets, white papers, blog posts, and other lead development activities.
• Support development and execution of marketing/sales plans for different oil & gas services.
• Expanding the company's business across work environments and sectors by cross selling Company's full suite of capabilities.
• Lead internal client teams.
• Strong leadership capabilities to develop people and thru performance management.
• The vice president of business development is a leader in the execution of the business plan.
Requirements
Education and Experience
• BS/BA in Engineering, Science, or Business Management preferred; Graduate degree a plus.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in an engineering and consulting firm setting.
• Personable, with very strong communication skills, and possess the desire to lead an aggressive business expansion in a fast paced and dynamic market.
• Possess good relationships with clients' decision makers at oil & gas midstream companies including, but not limited to gathering companies, natural gas/NGL/crude oil pipeline companies, processors, terminal operators, and even downstream operators with similar service needs (e.g., refiners, chemical manufacturers).
• Successful track record of leading sales initiatives to exceed revenue targets.

Other Requirements
