Position Overview:
As the leader of the ecommerce operations team, this position is responsible for developing, analyzing, reviewing, and recommending strategic and tactical initiatives for Company’s on line channels. The results of which will drive business profitability through increased customer traffic, conversion and loyalty.
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable expertise in managing multi-channel commerce, online marketing strategies, social media tactics and online retail operations in a highly competitive market. A strong understanding of the use of analytics to help guide tactical decision-making is required, as is the ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines with rapidly shifting priorities. Understanding of a website platform infrastructure and administrative management related to DTC operations is a must.
Responsibilities:
Lead business activities for all Company’s® eCommerce websites, including: Company website and all future ecommerce platforms.
Work with internal and external partners to deliver mission critical services impacting multiple P&L areas.
In conjunction with the VP of Emerging Technologies, oversee all DTC tech initiatives, including ongoing site administration.
Lead a team of DTC marketing and operations personnel to achieve stated objectives. The team will include graphic designers, social media leads, ecommerce technical administrators, customer service and operations.
Lead the company’s social media initiatives in collaboration with the marketing department.
Work with the creative department to align creative and visual messaging across the organization.
Align with senior executives across all business segments to insure that brand and operational synergies achieved. Examples include information technology, buying, store operations, planning and distribution.
Oversee and report on all business KPI’s for the department including sales, inventory, promotions, site traffic, et. al.
Lead the prioritization and internal consensus-building of web related technology projects to ensure the proper balance of initiatives to drive traffic, conversion and brand awareness.
Guide the creation of a ‘best in class’ eCommerce organization that will meet and exceed market demands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a leader in a retail ecommerce environment.
An expert level command of emerging trends in ecommerce and social media
Online marketing and merchandising experience.
Multi-Channel retail experience.
Experience at a high SKU count eCommerce business.
Tactical as well as strategic thinking ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong problem solving, decision making and customer service skills required
