Company’s Washington D.C. team is currently seeking a Vice President, Platform Strategy, responsible for planning, designing and implementing integrated strategies and campaigns on major social and digital platforms.
Social media marketing has shifted dramatically. The major social platforms have transformed themselves over the last few years to become sophisticated marketing platforms. We’re looking for someone with deep experience in developing and implementing effective multi-channel digital campaigns.
We’re seeking a thinker and a doer who is able to be hands-on with day-to-day operations while keeping an eye on the larger strategic vision, and a leader who can mentor colleagues and navigate the changing digital ecosystem. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated track record of developing successful strategies with measurable results and engaging with clients in senior leadership roles in global organizations.
Client-facing responsibilities will include strategic program planning, managing programs and activities to meet client goals, leading integrated programs, providing strategic counsel and mentorship to team members.
This individual will also be engaged in business development efforts and cross-functional agency teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a senior platform strategist lead for multiple clients and internal functions
• Successfully lead junior platform strategists and other integrated media specialists as needed to achieve client/program objectives
• Inform the development of creative and editorial assets to resonate with priority audiences and ensure channels are being used in high-value ways
• Follow the shifts in platform functionality to ensure strategies succeed; ensure client programs adapt to ongoing social media platform innovations
• Oversee clients’ social media channels including editorial planning, content development, paid media, monitoring/analytics and ongoing social strategy
• Explore first and third party data sources and work with paid media strategists to construct advanced distribution plans
• Serve as manager to several direct reports, ensuring their successful performance and growth
• Support new business development efforts. Understand industry trends and issues that affect our clients, particularly related to social media
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years in the communications, marketing and digital space, with proven experience delivering successful social media programs
• A strong understanding of digital and social channel strategy
• Experience building and managing teams and motivating team members to deliver high quality work
• Experience building and managing editorial processes that identify and aggregate content opportunities from various sources into one holistic channel strategy
• Ability to think strategically about the development and execution of integrated digital programs
• Passionate about the constantly changing world of media with ability to drive thought leadership for clients and the agency
• Talented writer, clear communicator and engaging presenter
• Knowledgeable about the intersection of earned, owned and paid media
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience in program measurement and analysis
