Job Description
Main Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the effective overall operations and performance of Company in EMEA, by providing input into core business strategies, executing strategy, driving new business development whilst ensuring the commercial success, functionality and sustainability of the organisation.
Key Accountabilities:
• Owns overall P&L for Company EMEA and promotes revenue, profitability and growth of the business;
◦ Accountable for delivering against quarterly targets and business objectives, and developing and implementing quarterly recovery plans;
◦ Accountable for licensing revenue, media and growth of the Platforms business across EMEA; e.g. Works with global Media lead to develop priorities across EMEA markets;
◦ Accountability for staff and other costs in EMEA markets, with a combination of dotted and solid reporting lines;
◦ Accountable for sales execution across the region, providing input into the allocation of sales targets and resources for each market;
◦ Sales targets and resource allocation by market defined by the Heads of One Advertisers and Publisher Services in collaboration with the International CFO;
• Oversees local and regional operations to drive efficiency and excellent service
• Works with internal business partners for Finance, HR, Marketing to define requirements and ensure solutions meet EMEA needs;
• Drives and implement changes to structure, operations, management and other resources to achieve optimum efficiency and profitability;Inputs into an integrated regional plan across both One for Advertisers and Publisher Services for EMEA, adapting globally-driven functional strategies to the region and to individual markets;
• Reviews vision for Company EMEA on an on-going basis, and communicates this as part of Company’s overall vision and values to employees directly and through direct reports and key managers;
• Delegates accountability to country leads / managers for their markets’ business objectives;
• Reviews progress against objectives across all markets (via management, financial and workforce reporting), revising objectives / targets as required (with approval as required: from CFO, Heads of One Advertisers/Publisher Services as required);
• Provides input into global product strategy to ensure it is appropriate for EMEA markets and reflects client needs across markets, proactively assessing future business needs;
• Develops and maintains a high performance team across markets, regularly evaluating the performance of executives against policies and objectives included non-financial engagement metrics (e.g. attrition and engagement rates);
• Recruits and provides input into hiring of key roles;
• In conjunction with key managers and HR, designs a talent strategy and talent management plan for the markets/region (aligned with the overall plan for Company), which includes a regular evaluation and assessment of talent and the talent pipeline across markets, development of succession plans for key roles. Holds managers accountable for managing performance and driving excellence and participates in the allocation of reward and other recognition programmes;
• Identifies acquisition, merger, new business and market opportunities and partnerships, working with Head of Business Development to provide regional expertise in the evaluation and assessment of these;
• Identifies and builds executive relationships internally and externally to drive business, and manages ‘top to top’ pan-EMEA relationships with key clients and other partners;
• Identifies and addresses problems and opportunities central to business success, and solves critical issues at highest levels;
• Represents EMEA priorities and aspirations within the global Company arena;
• Provides and manages relevant shared services to each local market where required (e.g. where local market is of insufficient scale to warrant country level resources);
• Acts as a representative of the Company at industry affiliations, functions, events etc.;
• Promotes the company to local, regional, national, and international bodies;
• Ensures compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements.
