Vice President, Creative
Creative Center, an in-house creative team within Company Television’s Digital Networks, has an opening for a talented, dynamic Vice President, Creative. We’re looking for someone who has senior level experience leading creative teams, communicating and executing vision, and partnering effectively with a variety of clients to meet both creative and business goals. Experience leading creative for digital/over-the-top services and platforms and/or television broadcast networks is a real plus.
The VP, Creative will be tasked with bringing the Creative Center to new heights of success! The VP will lead a team of 20+ employees and provide leadership, mentorship and coaching. Creative Center partners with clients in developing, producing, and distributing creative assets to support marketing, sales and PR initiatives. Clients include Crackle, Sony Movie Channel, Cine Sony, getTV and Mobile Games. The VP, Creative will work closely with stakeholders in providing a creative vision on branding and voice for all products. Forging and maintaining strong relationships with clients and leaders within Company Television is critical.
Responsibilities include:
• Supervise production and delivery of all creative content for sales, marketing and PR campaigns.
• Partner and collaborate with stakeholders in defining design and executing on creative vision.
• Provide inspiration on a vision level and lend a critical eye to all creative, structural and technical output.
• Lead a team of design, operations and production talent. Find ways to develop team members, provide coaching and mentorship, and drive performance.
• Lead the on-air and off-air creative teams in implementing innovative, thoughtful design across brands.
• Lead creative for Crackle Originals
• Understand audience’s motivations and behaviors as it relates to a specific project or area. Conceptualize original ideas that may bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design challenges.
• Establish and promote on-air and off-air design guidelines, best practices and standards to advance the creative design efforts within the company.
• Oversee department budget, including all production costs for creative projects, and ensure the budget is up to date, accurate and clear.
• Work with the creative team to scope out and establish project direction. Work efficiently to deliver work on time and meet budget deliverables.
• Manage third party agencies and vendors on assigned projects.
• Be knowledgeable about business goals/objectives, audience and brand.
Requirements:
• Proven client facing skills, responding well to client input and feedback in a timely manner. Presents work with clarity and persuasiveness. Accountable and dependable while delivering on project plans.
• 10+ years of creative or television marketing experience with a successful track record of developing, executing and measuring strategies and tactics
• 5+ years of experience leading creative teams (designers, producers, editors, etc.). Proven leadership ability in building teams, mentoring and managing creative and operational talent.
• Experience in building brands, preferably television property and network.
• Comprehensive understanding of post-production, workflow processes, the creative brief process, script writing and review, and technical knowledge of industry best practices for production workflows
• Experience managing department and project budgets
• Has curiosity for current and new technologies and techniques. Researches and stays current on design and branding trends.
• Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro 7
• Awareness of Interactive and social technologies (HTML5, Rich Media, Facebook Canvas, etc)
• Proactive, creative and logical problem solver who can articulate abstract concepts in concrete ways
• Strong organizational, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make decisive judgements and evaluations
• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Marketing or related field
• Experience designing or leading teams in the entertainment industry or digital media is preferred
