The UX Designer increases the quality of work from the Operations department by improving the look, feel and functionality of applications, tools and reports that the team creates. This mid-level position currently does not have management responsibilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create wireframes, sitemaps, sketches, mock-ups, etc., that communicate design concepts with our team and other teams
• Create highly functional interface designs for internally developed applications and customizations
• Combine existing design frameworks with original designs
• Follow UX best practices in conception, design, development and testing
• Create templates for reports, proposals, office communications for team use to ensure polished product throughout all deliverables
• Architect the layout of Salesforce pages and customizations for the best user experience
• Provide mock-ups of new apps of features for end-user sign-off, scoping, and feedback loops
• Remain current on UX industry trends and developments to supply best practices for end-user success
• Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications.
• Work with teams to understand business and design goals, create requirements and then select and iterate the best approach to create highly usable and engaging experiences
• Recommend necessary research (usability, surveys, etc.) in order to perform heuristic and competitive analyses
• Strategically define UX guidelines across channels and platforms for a consistent and best-in-class experience throughout the consumer journey
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs with data-driven mindset
• Help with project scope definition, estimates, and work breakdown structure
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stay abreast of UX best practices and trends
• Help design polished dashboards, reports, updates and communications for partners
• Create branding for standard operating procedures, presentations
• Create well-presented documentation for ease of understanding complex systems and processes
• Improve process of reading, interpreting, and interfacing with analysis items
• Style custom-designed features to ensure that they are optimized, seamless, and efficient
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders leveraging agile process
• Create and advance site-wide style guides
• Take smart risks and champion new ideas
REQUIREMENTS
• 2-3 years’ experience in UX/UI design
• Proven understanding of User Interface design testing and methodologies
• Strong proficiency in whiteboarding, sketching on pencil and paper, using post-it notes or other forms of low-fidelity design
• Proficiency in high-fidelity wireframing/prototyping software such as Adobe Experience Design, Balsamiq, Sketch, InVision, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members
• Ability to conceptualize complex ideas and systems
• Demonstrates creative thinking ability
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions quickly
• Experience working directly with developers to ensure successful implementation
• Expertise in UX software such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, Fireworks, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Company website, Quartz Composer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
• Ability to communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs that meet needs and vision to stakeholders, as well as certain aspects of a project that are hindering the user experience
• Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. Preference will be given to candidates who show aptitude/experience with conversational UI.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns
• Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently using data insights as driver
• Interested candidates should have a solid portfolio showing projects where design elements were created and iterated based on consumer feedback. To be considered, please include a short summary of current work that that you have completed with example URLs.
