Role Purpose:
Company continues to build an innovative team in Philadelphia, PA to develop next generation learning experiences and redefine healthcare education. Our UX team works boldly and collaboratively on concepts and designs for a user-centric suite of teaching and learning tools. We now require a UI Designerto create clean and simple user-centered designs as well as assist in the production of wireframes, prototypes, concept sketches, interaction designs and user flows. Join a team of 10 UX professionals that has strong support from upper management, will give you autonomy in your work and will support you to learn and grow in your career.
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
• As a UI Designer, you’ll be responsible for designing best in class user interfaces and creative visuals.
• Deliver high quality work according to project schedules in an agile development environment.
• Explore design alternatives and produce interactive prototypes for ongoing user testing.
• Create conceptual wireframes to communicate possible solutions to user needs and generate new product ideas.
• Work from an established design system and continue to improve it.
• Understand user needs and tasks in order to create user interfaces that best solve their needs.
• Work closely with other designers, product managers, project managers, frontend and backend developers, and other internal teams to help deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Continuously strengthen your knowledge and skills in everything design related. Share the awesome things you learn with the team.
Required Qualifications:
• Formal education in visual design, graphic design, or the like.
• Experience (2-3 years) executing designs for the web using contemporary design and wireframing tools.
• An impressive online portfolio demonstrating experience designing user interfaces and experiences for responsive web applications (beyond marketing/brochure websites).
• Comfortable in quickly producing initial concept sketches and user flows.
• Able to articulate the reasons behind your design ideas and decisions to team members from different departments.
• Excellent working knowledge of Sketch, Axure and Invision.
• A passion for building easy to use, delightful user experiences.
• Excellent attention to detail – you should notice even the smallest inconsistencies.
• Awesome listening and personal interaction skills.

Preferred
Qualifications
• Experience or interest in UX process, user research or usability testing.
• Experience designing mobile native apps and mobile web apps.
• Front-end development experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Some understanding of what’s technically feasible, and know when to ask questions.
• Experience working in an agile environment with issue tracking tools like JIRA to track daily work.
• Web accessibility experience.
