Position Summary
The Associate Director’s goal is to ensure client satisfaction overall while helping them deliver on their business goals. This role is on a new account within UM that blends the worlds of entertainment and technology. We are a group of straightforward and open-minded people, aiming to keep it simple but pack a punch. Essential Functions
• Provide thought leadership and help develop strategic direction for media planning and buying across all media channels, particularly TV (National and Local), Digital, Outdoor, Radio and Print
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all agency departments/disciplines including: Investment, Analytics and Specialty Business Units
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all partner agencies
• Oversees development of media strategies consistent with brand marketing objectives and strategy
• Recommends targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media strategies
• Serves as advisor and mentor to planning groups
• Insures best practices are used across department and account responsibilities
• Build excellent relationships with media partners
• Translate performance based metrics into actionable insights to drive business outcomes forward
• Prepares and makes presentations to clients regarding media recommendations, ensuring buy-in
• Ensure plans deliver upon agreed KPI’s
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required
Work Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in media planning
• 3-5 years management experience required
Skills:
• Strong presentation skills in internal, vendor, and client meetings
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Experience mentoring and managing a team
• Solid awareness of industry trends and planning/measurement models
• Understanding of marketing and communications process
