JOB DESCRIPTION-UI/UX Designer, Ribyt
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, thoughtful and experienced UX Designer to join our Product team in NYC. The UX Designer will work with our Engineering and Product team to help grow the design discipline within the organization. Ribyt is event management technology that helps dramatically improve and customize every byt an attendee's’ experience.. You must be comfortable working on a small design team and willing to help define best practices and processes.
Tasks at hand
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems, style guides or pattern libraries.
• Achieve expert knowledge of our product’s user’s and advocate for their needs across teams.
• Provide UX assets to product and engineering teams that communicate design vision and goals.
• Be an advocate for design thinking within the organization and unify our users’ and stakeholders’ expectations.
• Contribute to user research efforts and communicate findings across teams.
Must Haves
• 2-3 years of professional experiencedesigning web based, digital products.
• Understanding and working knowledge of web UI technology and experience working with complex web applications.
• Online portfolio that demonstrates your process and experience.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Must be passionate about design, user experience, and technology.
• Insatiable desire to learn new skills, try new approaches or experiment with process.
• Experience with all or most aspects of our design process:
◦ Wireframing / Sketching / Prototyping
◦ Research methods (Conducting user interviews, tests, workshops, etc.)
◦ UI / Visual design
◦ Analysis & Measurement.
• Ability to collaborate on a day-to-day basis with engineering teams.
Nice to Have
• Experience working on a SAAS product.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS frameworks (Bootstrap, Node, Angular, etc.).
• Speed and efficiency working in Photoshop and/or Sketch
• Familiar with Agile, continuous deployment, and development processes
• Active in UX Community - attends meetups, conferences, and online discussion
