The Operations division is both the first line of defence for protecting Company's financial and reputational well-being, and an essential partner contributing to the firm's growth. Facing off to all Company businesses and interacting with all other parts of the Firm, the Operations division supports a complex, multi-faceted portfolio of businesses in full compliance with regulatory guidelines and the directives of the Operating Committee and Board of Directors. One of the largest divisions in the firm, Operations has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Team Profile
Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO) is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of transactions reflective of the obligations for the jurisdictions in which the TTRO is reporting. TTRO was launched in 2016 and is presently engaged in: a) the identification and resolution of any outliers in current state reporting; b) development of platforms and processes in accordance with upcoming regulation change and implementation; c) strategic design of future state information technology and, when required, tactical implementations ahead of strategic change. TTRO liaise with various internal and external counterparties on a daily basis, including OTC, listed derivative and financing Operations teams, sales trading representatives, non-market risk leads, Legal and Compliance teams, information technology and utilities such as DTCC, plus Unavista. The criticality of the function ensures senior management engagement and a high profile for those in the team.
This role is for the Global Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations Change The Bank Lead, reporting to the Global Head of TTRO in London.
Responsibilities -
The role will lead and manage a portfolio of global programs and projects supporting the Transaction Reporting area. The role will also provide leadership to the global TTRO CTB team in the Americas, EMEA and Asia, building close relationships with key business, Technology and Compliance stakeholders and assuring the delivery of projects within the global program. This is a challenging and rewarding role offering the candidate the opportunity to lead a diverse team and work on a global portfolio of change within a critical and high profile area of the Firm.
Required
• We expect the candidate may have developed the necessary competencies in a similar role over a 10-15 year period.
• Proven track record of managing a large, global and complex regulatory program with often competing deliverables.
• Provide Program and Project Management leadership and discipline for the portfolio of change, including:
◦ Ensuring Program/project scope is clearly defined and agreed
◦ Ensuring Portfolio prioritization is optimized, balancing the immediate needs of tactical delivery with achievement of long term strategic goals
◦ Working with Technology partners to agree and prioritize solutions, estimate and track delivery of development, including change/scope management through the lifecycle
◦ Providing assurance to Firm Leadership that delivery is tracking to goals and that risks and issues are escalated early
• Ability to lead and develop a global team of skilled change personnel, both employee and vendor
• Strong stakeholder engagement, including internal Business partners, External Clients and IT partners. Ability to challenge and influence effectively at all levels of the organization, as well as externally at Industry forums.
• Demonstrable experience of driving continuous business process improvement in an Operations environment
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks

Preferred
• Experience with/awareness of Transaction Reporting regulations for Financial Institutions in global jurisdictions
• Experience in Operations/Middle office trade processing and reporting functions. Understanding of the trade lifecycle and the various downstream user requirements of reference, trade and financial data.
• Experience in the finance industry in a change environment
Experience of interacting with a team locally and globally
Knowledge of Program Management processes and directives
Working Knowledge of process improvement methodology, Lean, 6 Sigma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic terminologies used in the financial services sector
