Summary
Reporting to the Project Lead, the Tools Support Specialist will provide first-line support and access to production tools throughout the project cycle and be the point of contact for infrastructure, material and network issues.
Mission
The main and routine tasks of the Tools Support Specialist are to:
• Point out new bugs in collaboration with Technical Directors (TD);
• Validate bug corrections;
• Provide access rights to online tools for project resources to new team collaborators;
• Ensure first-line support for different online environments throughout the product cycle;
• Support programmers in issue resolution;
• Train (or produce tutorials) to teach the basic features of the tools;
• Provide special support in the certification phase to ensure that the online environment and related processes are available;
• Organize and advise productions when carrying out material/application maintenance;
• Ensure the proper functioning of the online resources during site business hours;
• Ensure special weekend monitoring on a rotational basis;
• Reporting to the TDs, carry out load tests to determine potential production issues and eventually suggest solutions;
• In collaboration with TDs, manage tool productivity issues;
• Determine missing or inadequate processes in an effort to provide quality service;
• Carry out all other related tasks.
Training
• College diploma or equivalent experience.
Relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position (troubleshooting, test).
Skills and knowledge

• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good judgement;
• Bilingualism (French-English);
• Knowledge of bug documentation (Jira or other);
• Understanding of the pipeline and production tools;
• Basic knowledge of computers (Windows, Linux, VM) and networks (TCP, UDP, load balancer, firewall, etc.);
• Basic knowledge of databases;
• Ability to read a log file;
• Ability to read a Python file an asset.
