The Senior Manager, Merchandise (Ecommerce) will implement the Online Go to Market strategy consistent with the Timberland brand and business goals. This position will report to the Director of Ecommerce and work cross-functionally with Product Merchant/Buyers, Digital Marketing, Brand, Creatives Services, Allocation, Planning and the Photo teams to create a digital shopping experience that puts the consumer first while also driving financial results.
Responsibilities:
Company website a vision for the consumer by bringing together Brand creative, Marketing initiatives, UX, and product. Tie together brand initiatives and selling product while delivering a unique value proposition to the customer. Define the value proposition and answer ‘why Company website?’. Partner with Marketing to ensure a seamless experience from Brand advertising through the entire site experience.
2. Define and manage a seasonal, monthly, and weekly site content calendar in partnership with buying and marketing to ensure freshness, relevancy, and the appropriate balance of commerce and brand story telling. Manage the briefing, planning, requesting, publishing and measurement processes with internal and external partners.
3. Oversee the photo content budget and strategy (alt shots, on model, Shop the Look, location, missing images, etc..). Partner with Brand, Marketing, EU Ecom, and Wholesale to identify opportunities to collaborate on images.
4. Optimize on-site search and cross-sells to drive conversion
5. Lead a team of merchandisers and a copywriter that actively optimizes product placement and proposes new merchandise strategies to engage the consumer and grow profitable sales.
Job Requirements:
• 7+ years related experience in Ecommerce, Site Merchandising, or Buying from a top tier consumer and/or fashion brand
• BA/BS in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or related field
• 5+ years of experience managing teams of 2 or more
• Experience with tools and technologies used for website merchandising and management; Microsoft Office
