Temporary Social Video Producer (NBCU-PEP)
In partnership with NBCU, we are recruiting for a Temporary Social Video Producer to write and produce a short-form digital video series for Company. The Video Producer will be employed as a temporary employee by NBCU-PEP (Production Employee Platform) and we anticipate that the assignment will last four to six months, possibly longer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce and write a short-form digital video series
• Produce, direct, and create content with Company Superstars, past and present and on-air talent
• Initiate and create new digital video concepts
• Responsible for quality control for all aspects of production and content for digital video series
• Responsible for developing compelling video elements that compliment Company storylines and characters
• Innovate new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories
• Pitch and develop concepts/stories with a unique angle that are relevant to Company and Snapchat’s demographic
• Follow trending topics and stay current with all social media platforms to incorporate into pitches in inventive ways
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of related work experience in TV/Digital/Post production
• 5+ years of editing experience with applications such as Avid, Final Cut Pro and Adobe
• Experience in field production, managing a video/film shoot and producing/directing on-air talent
• Experience in writing treatments/scripts
• Experience in shooting with professional and consumer cameras a plus
• Strong knowledge of digital and social platforms (Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook)
• Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking, effective storytelling, action, and results
• Familiarity with top entertainment sites/apps and associated social media
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based, ever-changing environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge about current and past Company TV shows, products, talent and storylines
• Willing and able to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed
• BA in Communications, Film/Media, Digital Media or related field of study
