Overview

The Technical Analyst will be responsible for the full lifecycle managing new requirements. Responsibilities are more than just collecting, formalizing, and communicating requirements. The role includes non-technical project management of all aspects related to the new requirements. Responsibilities also include post analysis work (mostly data centric) to monitor and ensure the new requirements are implemented properly and stated and socialized in developed specifications documents.
Candidate must have strong leadership, communication and technical skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment. The ability to handle aggressive timelines is a must.
Responsibilities
Collect all in-scope business requirements document for all IT stakeholders.
Translate requirements from Business stakeholders into technical specifications/functional requirements documentation that can be utilized by application development teams for design and code modification/enhancements.
Prioritize requirements and negotiate on deployment timeframes on behalf of the development team.
Formalize business requirements, ready for two-way communication – business communications up and technical communications down.
Devise an overall functional architecture and solution on how the system can meet those requirements.
Manage all non-technical aspects of the new requirements.
Work with QA to develop/review test scripts and profile of test data.
Produce ad-hoc SQL queries/ad-hoc reports that can be used to monitor success of the new requirement by ensuring data is being created as it should.
Interact directly with internal stakeholders and with clients for design, technical, and implementation discussions.
Qualifications
Excellent communications skills – both written and oral.
Self-motivated, high energy and a team player, who would take complete ownership of the project or module assigned.
Working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships.
Life cycle experience in large complex systems.
Must be able to deliver within short time frames.
Experience with UML (class diagrams, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, etc.).
Intermediate level SQL skills (must be able to develop more than basic queries).
Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project
Degree Computer Science/Information Systems or the equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of technical experience.
