Role Summary
The Talent Acquisition Recruiter for the NBC News Group is responsible for identifying top tier talent, maintaining proactive sourcing activities and ensuring qualified and diverse applicant pools are identified while partnering with Hiring Managers, HR Business partners, Campus 2 Careers and the Diversity & Inclusion group. Highly qualified candidates will not only bring solid full life-cycle recruitment experience, but will have strong understanding of the media industry and bring expertise in news editorial and digital recruitment areas. Responsibilities
Proactively source, screen, interview, and place qualified candidates for roles within NBC News, CNBC and MSNBC. This includes posting jobs, pre-screening resumes, interviewing candidates both on the phone and in person, and partnering with hiring managers throughout the selection process
Identify/clarify hiring specifications and competencies, document and confirm principal requirements to ensure accurate and detailed job descriptions, and develop action plans to maximize candidate sourcing – partnering with team sourcer on these projects and providing coaching
Implement staffing strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool
Develop networking and referral base with Diversity and other NBCU affinity groups. Also partner with external diversity journalism organizations with candidate identification and event participation
Use Social Networking and online tools to proactively source and communicate with passive talent
Demonstrate a consultative style, providing relevant metrics and industry trends to develop creative solutions for hiring managers
Build strong relationships with HR Managers and hiring managers in order to understand business priorities and anticipate staffing needs
Ensure a smooth recruiting process by using communication skills to manage expectations and provide process updates
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
Minimum 3 years of corporate recruitment experience with proficiency using ATS systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or SAP

Desired Characteristics
Relevant recruiting experience in news editorial; network or cable news a plus
Passionate about providing exceptional customer service to internal and external partners and clients
Clear desire to work within a team work environment
Proven aptitude to execute in a changing professional environment
Familiar with BrassRing ATS system and Internet savvy
Possess a wide range of experience on current corporate recruiting policies, practices, and industry trends
Propose and implement ongoing improvements to Company’s recruitment efforts
Strong knowledge of basic employment law, OFCCP guidelines and HR practices
Experienced in behavioral based interviewing, pre-employment testing, and other innovative selection methods
Able to assess staffing needs and develop creative and effective recruiting strategies to meet those needs; experience applying web 2.0 concepts a plus
Aptitude in assessing intangible aspects of candidates accurately (candidate’s fit with the position and with the company culture)
Able to in work in a fast-paced environment and work with all levels of management
