Systems Administrator
Job Details
General Summary
The Systems Administrator works within the Support Administration team to provide a wide range of desktop and technology support, enabling Company’s Artists to create animated feature films.
Job Functions
- Support desktop and mobile devices, peripherals, and applications.
- Work with production departments to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.
- Work with IT ticketing system to service support requests.
- Administer mobile device management software.
- Write documentation and training materials.
- Research new applications and technologies.
- Assist systems engineering team with network and server administration.
- Communicate policies and procedures to end users.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience supporting Linux/Mac/Windows desktops.
- A solid understanding of Unix, networking, and hardware fundamentals.
- Experience with automation, imaging, and configuration management tools such as Salt and Ansible preferred.
- Knowledge of visual effects concepts and applications preferred.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as JSM or YouTrack preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Ruby, Python preferred.
- Experience with device management tools such as Intune and JAMF preferred.
- Knowledge of Azure AD (Active Directory), Office 365, and Exchange preferred.
- Well-organized with well-developed planning, problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as data centers and closets.
- Exceptional communication to support non-technical end-users.
- Thrive in a deadline-driven environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Some international travel may be required.
