DESCRIPTION:
The Operator, Switchboard Operations will answer and direct incoming calls presented to the console in a professional and efficient manner. This includes a constant interaction with all departments in providing operator services.
Responsibilities:
• Answer and forward incoming calls for Company Corporation and affiliated Companies.
• Direct and route switchboard calls as required in the most professional manner; in order to project an outstanding image of the company and the most positive first impression.
• Perform various routine functions including filing, copying, faxing and video conferencing as required.
• Assists Supervisor on special projects (i.e. word processing) as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year experience operating a switchboard console or similar equipment.
• Must have excellent phone manners, poise, and pleasant disposition in greeting customers.
• Possesses strong verbal and Interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates good written communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Punctuality is key and maintaining excellent attendance a must.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
