DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical and administrative support for Program Operations and Distribution Department, primarily in digital media, international and domestic distribution, airlines and PPV. Under the supervision of the Director of Distribution, provide daily support over digitizing and encoding of physical masters from traditional tape into multiple digital formats. Should have working knowledge of transcoding software, digital audio and video formats and technical specifications. In collaboration with the Manager of Distribution, help manage daily correspondence with clients, digital file rejections and redelivery requests as needed. Responsible for compiling pertinent asset information into a master metadata spreadsheet for a series/feature/documentary, as well as vetting the information into specific metadata templates for delivery to content partners and other Showtime distribution outlets. Select episodic :30 previews and unit photos for promotion on DTO platforms and create reference notes with timecode(s) and descriptions of pertinent information in each episode that require forced narrative subtitles. Have basic working knowledge of Photoshop to reformat key art images and unit photos per client specifications to be included with metadata and program file deliveries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Technical knowledge of film, video and audio specifications and physical elements required. A working knowledge of digital media formats also required. This person should have an understanding of distribution and demonstrate managerial and organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS degree in Communications or Film/TV preferred.
4+ years facility, post-production, or New Media experience.
