UNIQLO is looking for candidates interested in business and customer satisfaction to join our team this summer to provide creative ideas to help achieve our goal of becoming the number one retailer in the world! The summer internship program is designed to give current students a challenging, hands-on experience in the retail industry.
Depending on your interests and educational background we have opportunities in different departments such as marketing, e-commerce and retail stores. No matter which department you choose you will have an opportunity to work with team leaders and gain exposure and understanding of our organization. You will be tasked with providing tangible suggestions or action plans. By the end of the program you will be expected to present your ideas to our key business leaders.
Length of program: 6 – 8 weeks
Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
JOB TITLE: Summer Internship – Store Marketing
LOCATION: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York – Specific store location TBD
Position Overview:
This position works closely with the store manager and area manager. You will be expected to collect market data, create and conduct surveys in order to fully understand our customers as well as different marketing techniques. Based on the research above each individual will be expected to formally present recommendations during their last week.
Responsibilities:
• Build informative presentation
• Collaborate with members different departments
• Analyze reports to create insights that will help drive digital marketing content strategies
• Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data
Qualifications:
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Passionate about customer-service, retail and digital marketing
• Results oriented and able to work in a faced-paced environment
• Strong basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, research and problem solving abilities
• Be a highly motivated self-starter. Must be comfortable working independently to achieve successful results with minimal guidance.
• Detail oriented and results driven
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to effectively discuss results with technical and business partners at the appropriate level of technical detail
