Who we are looking for:
Marketplace Ignition is seeking an Account Director to join our growing team! Account Directors play an important role supporting the delivery of strategy consulting services for our clients (large brands and retailers selling on Amazon and other marketplaces). In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing client satisfaction within our Strategic Accounts territory, and are expected to be highly-organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should have exceptional relationship and project management skills, and will be responsible for ensuring that key deliverables are on track and on time, often working with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
This role requires exceptional presentation skills, whether internal, external, one on one, or with a large audience. You’ll lead, manage, and deliver quarterly and annual business reviews, ensure that services are delivered on time, above and beyond client expectations, and develop new opportunities by delivering inspiring and memorable presentations.
What you’ll do:
Client Management
• Maintain and nourish client relationships and retention of current account relationships.
• Ensure that client satisfaction is achieved on all project deliverables.
• Liaise with client to align on strategic brand or departmental objectives.
• Provide client with business solutions and demonstrate expertise in managed markets.
Project Management
• Liaise with internal teams to coordinate logistical components of program development, execution and budget management as appropriate.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality control of client materials and, as appropriate, develop best practices protocols for project teams to facilitate quality control and consistency.
• Lead internal teams to ensure project timelines are met, quality of work is high, and communication is fluid with all parties, each member understanding their roles.
• Attend internal meetings with strategy, client services, meeting services, traffic, and other key personnel to discuss project status.
Leadership
• Ensure client service teams meet and exceed customer needs and expectations on a day to day basis.
• Supervise indirect staff on a consistent and ongoing basis while effectively communicating at all times.
• Identify and communicate clear roles and responsibilities to team members and establish ground rules.
Business Development
• Contribute creative, strategic and program development as requested by senior leadership.
• Be responsible for organic growth of existing client project work.
Finance
• Manage project management, resource utilization, and budget estimates to meet portfolio and account goals.
• Provide periodic budget updates and communication with senior leadership and/or clients.
What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Proven account management or other relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
• Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
• Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity.
• Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Deep eCommerce experience with an understanding of marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, and digital marketing.
