The Company Summer Internship program is designed to provide students with the exciting opportunity to apply their education in a “real-life” professional setting, while gaining valuable industry experience and transferable skills. This will be a paid 10 week program, in which Interns will partner with Mentors on accomplishing impactful company projects. The program will begin on June 5th and end on August 11th.
Department/Position Overview:
The Store Operations Department is the bridge that connects the Corporate Office to the Stores and vice versa. We project manage all systems, merchandising, and operational initiatives, and we act as gatekeepers of all communications and tasks sent to the stores. From the field, we collect feedback, hold user group conference calls, and frequently speak directly to the stores in order to best represent them in meetings and decision-making at the corporate level.
The Store Operations Intern will assist with communication tool rollouts, which includes writing, reporting, and asset management components.
Position Responsibilities:
• Assist with asset moves from two aging systems to new communication tools to support.
• Works with Retail Communication Specialists, Retail Operators, and the Manager of Store Communications Operations to update content within the communication systems.
• Document procedures related to the communication systems and assist the Manager of Store Communications Operations and the Director of Store Operations with the rollout that system.
• Assist with daily functions of the larger Store Operations Department, as needed.
Position Requirements:
• Students must have HS Diploma or GED and must be enrolled as at least rising Junior in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program, or enrolled in an accredited Master’s degree program.
• Must be available to work a 40 hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
• Preferred degree field – Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Business.
• Strong organization, time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Works well under deadlines, self-starter, innovative, team-oriented, customer-focused.
• Experienced in Microsoft Office a plus.

• Technical skills related to content management systems and design
• Identifying and using proper channels for written communication based on message and targeted audience
• Working with the Operations and Communication departments, interns will be exposed to strategy related to all elements of the retail business including merchandising, loss prevention, system rollout and sales motivation.
