Responsibilities
In this established broadcast position, the Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for high level management of content-based platforms, with a strong focus on media operations and post production. The successful candidate shall possess expertise level abilities and will be tasked with designing, commissioning, and maintaining a cross-platform media environment, including ingest and playback systems, non-linear edit systems, storage systems, transcode systems, asset management and archive systems, and file acceleration systems.
Job Duties
Assume Engineering responsibility for all media operations and post production systems
Handle in-depth configurations and commissioning of complex, network connected, cross-platform media systems
Manage and prioritize competing high profile projects with a focus on completing assignments
Design and document systems, providing workflow diagrams, support procedures, and best practices
Manage upgrade schedules, version compatibility, and testing environments for content-based systems, including hardware, software, and workstations
Lead and develop training initiatives that strengthen the larger Engineering and Operations teams
Rally support efforts, troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues and systemic problems
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, client departments, and vendors
Research new technology and optimized workflows to keep Golf Channel on the cutting edge
Be innovative and think outside the box, creating smart and efficient workflows
Execute urgent projects quickly utilizing available resources to achieve production goals
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
7 years experience with a Systems design and Broadcast Engineering background
Undergraduate degree in either Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, CIT or demonstrated equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications
Strong understanding of Avid and EVS systems required, ACSR Certifications preferred
Strong broadcast equipment configuration and installation experience
Working knowledge of broadcast systems, video and audio signal distribution, diagnostic tools and test equipment
Proficient with network topology, routers, VLANs, switches, firewalls, and port management
Familiarity with Windows, MAC, and Unix/Linux OS, Server and database administration preferred
Must possess strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
