Senior Social Media Editor
Company website is seeking someone with a passion for all things social media to join us as our senior social media editor. In this role, you will drive the vision and execution of Men’s Health's social media presence, developing a distinct strategic purpose and immediately recognizable look/tone on each platform. This role is located in our New York office.
Responsibilities:
• Developing and executing on a social testing strategy—both organic and paid—to expand the brand reach and inform the edit team of new content opportunities
• Ideating and executing native social content franchises that engage readers and create turnkey sponsorship opportunities for a wide variety of advertisers
• Working closely with the online and print teams, as well as Men’s Health’s ad sales team, to execute social media campaigns, events, and promotions to grow engagement and brand awareness across all platforms
• Establishing relationships with influencers in the men’s lifestyle community for new social franchises
• Building up existing Men’s Health franchises, and their corresponding social accounts
• Creating a distinct strategy and voice for each social platform, as well as collaborating with design to ensure a consistent aesthetic for all accounts
• Constantly monitoring analytics to gain an intrinsic understanding of how posts on various platforms perform with our audience—and regularly reporting on these insights to editors to help inform and refine content strategy
• Developing strategies designed to help grow Company website's followings on all of its social platforms
• Supervising Company website's social media editor
• Developing, managing, and optimizing social partnerships between Company website and internal and external brands
• Collaborating with the brand’s video editor and social media editor to define and refine a video strategy for the site and social platforms, including Facebook Live videos
• Helping post to Company website's social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Strava as required
Qualifications:
• At least 2-4 years of experience managing the social media accounts for a health or lifestyle brand
• Experience with Sprinklr or comparable third-party social publishing tool
• Experience with Facebook Business Manager
• Proficiency with Google Analytics, Chartbeat, or comparable web analytics platform
• A proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• A solid understanding of the Men’s Health audience and editorial mission
