We are looking for a super smart and passionate individual to join our Marketing Analytics Reporting & Operations team full-time. In this role, you will help shape the marketing strategy, own the reporting & analytics of marketing campaigns, drive analytical insights for the business and make optimization recommendations and actions to grow our business.
A Sr. Marketing Analyst for Communications is to demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills, effective communication skills, a talent for influencing without authority, and an ability to be a proactive internal consultant, adding value and insight to key stakeholders such as brand teams and business leaders. This role is a lynchpin across the matrixed marketing organization--working across vertical product disciplines and horizontal consumer strategies, and partnering closely with the Product Marketing, Research, Communications, Media, Product and Sales teams.
This position is based in Sunnyvale, CA or Playa Vista, CA.
Responsibilities:
• Define, develop and deliver marketing measurement approach for Communications campaigns for cross-channel digital marketing analytics and reporting. This will include the measurement of end-to-end campaign effectiveness across channels (Paid Media, Paid Social, SEM, CRM, In-Product etc.).
• Ensure development of proper experimental design across all campaigns and deliver data driven optimization guidance.
• Deliver the analytics and reporting to all marketing functions to provide the cross-channel marketing team with the insight for campaign optimizations, planning and ROI. Use data to proactively identify opportunities and create recommendations to improve marketing performance.
• Partner with data engineers to synthesize raw data and help develop clear and concise insights quickly, in a focused and digestible manner
• Collaborate with systems & tools teams to clearly define marketing measurement requirements for data collection and analytics capabilities
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing analytics required
• Substantial experience working with all digital marketing channels including programmatic, real time bidding, paid social, and email with emphasis on experimental testing
• Strong understanding of underlying advertising technology (ad serving, DMP, MTA, RTB bidding, etc.) and advertising landscape (mobile limitations, mechanics of attribution, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and quantitative mindset with understanding of basic statistics (e.g. correlation versus causation)
• Proven track record and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis, including working with large data sets (log level data) and great Excel skills
• Strong capabilities for crafting and presenting data driven analyses and insights to senior executives
• Prior work experiences with 3rd party ad serving technology stack and resulting data is a plus, but not a prerequisite
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed and evolving environment
