Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and managing the design of planning tools, management of schedules, budget oversight, aligning of resources; oversees, monitors, and reports overall program status, identifying risks and issues, recommending operational alternatives, and driving business process improvements throughout the complete product lifecycle process. Has overall responsibility for developing/administering performance standards for organizational unit. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results, and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.
Core Responsibilities:
• Continually refine the presentation of movies on XFINITY On Demand to maximize the customer experience and drive revenue
• Anticipate upcoming events that can be highlighted in movie collections (theatrical movie releases, holidays, sports events, news stories, pop culture, etc.)
• Develop strong relationships with our studio partners to develop title specific and themed promotions
• Work with the marketing and social teams to ensure promotion of movies are a major focus
• Work with our content deliverer partners to ensure programming is scheduled and delivered as planned
• Work with Content Acquisition to acquire additional content necessary to program Movies and other transactional categories
• Work with internal business analytics and research teams on benchmarking studies
• Review XFINITY On Demand performance data to determine what content / organization is performing and recommend improvements
• Additional ad-hoc responsibilities, as needed.
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies.
• Defines strategic roadmap and sets success metrics/goals for the channel.
• Oversees production to ensure objectives are attained. Works with Marketing, Strategy, Content Acquisition, Ad Sales, etc. to achieve channel's goals.
• Instructs staff on scheduling broadcast and develops details to obtain desired production. Develops and implements tactics for driving channel traffic and revenue.
• Oversees the management of the execution of web projects, production schedules, and quality assurance. Programs channel content daily.
• Maintains partner relationships.
• Creates financial and operational objectives and establishes editorial calendars with an eye toward potential revenue opportunities (e.g. sponsorships, etc.) Ensures objectives are met.
• Ensures coordination with homepage to surface the best content and features from each channel to increase traffic.
• Manages staffing needs, budgets, and trainings.
• Creates team goals and manages performance against goals.
• Works with outside groups to introduce and integrate new systems.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimal Job Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent-Marketing, Advertising or a related discipline
• 5 7 years of programming experience in the movie or TV industry
Additional Job Requirements:
• Must be creative, yet detail and process oriented to fully implement ideas from start to finish
• Must have strong knowledge and passion for movies and pop culture
