Provide a research-based and financial-based assessment of product opportunities.
• Short-term product opportunities (1-2 years out)
• Long-term possibilities (3-5 years out)
• Work with key internal partners to develop a viable economic value proposition for investment proposals to be presented to senior management.
Responsible for all aspects of defining and developing the products Kayser-Roth will launch to meet this consumer’s unfulfilled need
• Outline the traditional marketing mix elements to be used for the launch (brand, price, marketing plan, financial forecasts, distribution plan, etc.)
• Distributing electronically via a branded website as well as utilizing cooperative sites and distributing sites.
• Work with digital team to organize and lead digital developments to ensure the defined “passionate consumer” will get the right product, at the right price, at the right time, in the right place.
Manage Business Innovation Team
• Establish, execute, and report on funded product development deliverables, taking project from concept to commercialization
• Present opportunities to senior management, gain alignment on funding and deliverables.
Required Skills:
• Demonstrate strong initiative and follow-through when executing project responsibilities, overcoming obstacles and balancing multiple priorities effectively;
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and interface effectively with project teams and senior management;
• Work effectively with a multitude of internal teams to solve product development issues, marketing/brand questions and technical problems with creative solutions;
• Lead marketing, product development, sourcing, merchandising and design;
• Develop creative solutions to solve problems;
• Present and participate in portfolio strategy discussions;
• Develop a deep understanding of competitive, technology and IP landscape.
Required Experience:
• A Master’s in Business Administration and at least 10 years’ new product development experience
◦ Or, PhD with minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience is required.
• Experience with digital technologies and the distribution of products electronically is necessary.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with experience presenting before a management board are required.
• Experience in the apparel and/or legwear industry is preferred though not necessary.
• A knowledge of licensing is preferred.
• Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) is required.
