DESCRIPTION
The Engagement Design Group (EDG) is a team of customer obsessed and highly curious designers, researchers, inventors and technologists working collaboratively to bring new innovative products and services to our customers.
We are seeking a Senior Creative Director to take a leadership role in envisioning, designing, and shipping new mobile, social, and community experiences across Company. In this role you will invent new storytelling formats for emerging platforms, create original content, and weave together experiences that engages communities of customers across platforms and devices, both on and off Company. You are the rare hybrid of thinker/maker- able to think big, invent and simplify, and deliver results. You must be a passionate, yet humble designer who can influence and collaborate with a variety of teams for both existing categories and new products. You pro-actively and re-actively conceive, propose, and sell new ideas, strategies, or concepts, and guide those projects to successful launch. Your responsibility extends not only to superior project execution, but also to manage, lead, inspire, recruit and grow a world-class creative team. As a result, your efforts help customers reimagine their relationship to Company.
The ideal candidate will have a rich portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence in bringing digital products and services to life for major brands and large corporations. This role is for a highly capable creative leader who can direct internal and external creative resources, and has the composure and communication talent to effectively present to senior executives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other on-device applications
• 3+ years of experience as a senior Creative Director, creative lead, in a studio environment
• Rich portfolio of work demonstrating your ability to transform compelling creative vision into engaging digital experiences for customers
• Demonstrated expertise of creative design tools including ability to create concepts, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, visual and interaction designs, video editing, motion, and production
• Comprehensive knowledge of camera, lighting and studio equipment and production processes
• Experience leading projects in a multi-disciplinary organization working collaboratively with designers, producers, directors, product managers, technologists and production teams
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills including ability to present to and influence senior executives
• Mentor and coach other designers to raise the bar for the customer experience and develop individuals to further their professional growth
• Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree, in Fine/Commercial Arts, Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience within the creative field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Passionate about design, innovation, strategy and experimentation with an ability to apply it throughout all stages of the product development lifecycle
• An anthropological empathy through a people-centered approach and
• An intuitive understanding of engagement loops, social triggers, and rewards throughout the customer experience
• Ongoing desire to gain deeper understanding of customer behaviors through qualitative and quantitative observation and analysis (user research, interviews, usability, a/b testing, etc)
• Experience designing for large-scale systems and applications for a global audience
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and a point-of-view on their impact and applications
