Job Title
Sr. Account Director
The Senior Account Director will be responsible for overseeing a world class email program that targets several million US, Hispanic and Canadian consumers on a daily basis. Our email client lead ladders into a new Growth Business Unit focused on CRM, E-commerce and Digital Innovation. This role requires demonstrated success in email strategy development and what it takes to execute across vertical markets (CPG experience a plus) as well as a solid working knowledge of digital channels, database, campaign management and the Responsys ESP platform. MXM is currently working with Oracle Responsys to develop personalized 1 to 1 journeys while increasing the use of automated and personalized solutions.
The Senior Account Director will be required to understand the current email program’s strategy and KPIs to be able to design, define, develop and implement best in class email and technical solutions that will evolve the current program thinking into broader areas such as e-commerce. The Senior Account Director will work collaboratively with our strategy, creative, analytics, client service, email production, monetization and project management teams to execute these journeys which will require ongoing test and learns plans.
The Senior Account Director will also work very closely with the Analytics and Reporting teams to understand not only email channel results but how these results impact the CRM program across other channels such as web, social, search (organic and paid).
The Senior Account Director will be responsible to continually identify areas that can deliver cost efficiencies to both our client and MXM.
The Senior Account Director will be viewed as a leader within Email, Database and Digital areas and possess strong team building and client presentation skills.
The Senior Account Director will attend key industry events to ensure that our team is well versed on the latest best practices.
Additional requirements include:
• Delivery of innovative program ideas within Digital, Email, Personalization, Automation and E-commerce areas
• Maintain at least 70% billability on our client’s business
• Participation in new business pitches as it relates to our client’s business
Essential Job Functions
• Development of journey mapping and ongoing test & learns of email plan based on our client’s 2018 business goals
• Management of email account and production teams and integration across other MXM core teams
• Delivery of new program proposals (Email and E-commerce integration, Personalization & Automation) and attend industry conferences
• Lead in CRM new business pitches
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience; MBA a plus.
Experience:
10+ years’ experience in Email Marketing, Digital, CRM, E-commerce, Database
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Digital and strategic thinker with a proven track record of innovation and successful program development. The ability to think cross channel to maximize program performance is required. This candidate must exude a passion to deliver new innovative ideas that will be disruptive within the industry. E-commerce experience is a plus.
% Travel Required (Approximate): 10% (to MXM NYC and Dallas offices)
