Company is a leading retailer and direct marketer of women's classic apparel, shoes and accessories. We're known for providing gracious service and a quality selection of timeless wardrobe essentials in a broad range of sizes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Trend Research, using the internet, fashion magazines and archives to identify seasonal trends for accessories categories. Work with team to create concept boards which identify these trends
• Presentation Board assembly & updates, this will include but not limited to: sketches, photo copying, labeling, attaching color chips and compiling all supplies needed for Presentation Boards. May also require manipulating CAD artwork
• Assist in creation & execution of design layouts and sketches. Assist in create & execution of spec sheets and tech packs.
• Assist with material development and material / color approvals. Assist in seasonal material development
• Maintaining and Updating reference material libraries and sample libraries. Assist in creating and maintaining seasonal archives of sketches, spec sheets and tech packs.
• Assist Accessories designers with any other miscellaneous functions as needed.
Job Requirements
• Must be eligible to receive school credit as this is an unpaid internship for the Spring.
• Design major.
• Photoshop and Illustrator experience required.
• Sketching experience preferred. Technical / spec experience in an accessory category (scarves, hats, gloves, swim, sleep, jewelry, footwear, bags, or shoes) is preferred but not essential.
This is a credit-based, unpaid internship for the spring semester.
