The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the technical relationships with prospective and current customers. You will work with the Sales Team to close prospects by identifying customer business needs and presenting solutions based around Stitch to meet them. You will coordinate with customers, internal teams and 3rd party developers to guide the successful implementation of API integrations to Stitch. You will be a knowledge resource for the Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams, and work closely with other functional departments within the company as needed.
Pre-Sales Responsibilities:
• Help close prospects by matching specific client business requirements with effective technical solutions.
• Educate prospects on Stitch implementation and usage, and answer their technical and security questions.
• Participate in sales calls, consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospective customers.
• Participate in preliminary discovery sales calls (as needed depending on experience) to answer technical questions
• Assist in discovery and/or creation of tools, workflows and documentation to improve the Sales Process.
• Approve proposals for any opportunities assigned to you before the AE sends them to the customer.
• Work with the Sales team to create a vision for the future workflows that a customer may have as they grow.
• Develop documentation, tools, and other resources to support the Sales team
Post-Sales Responsibilities:
• Document technical requirements, milestones, dependencies, and tasks needed to meet customers target "Go Live" dates and success metrics (determined by the Success Team & executive sponsor), and share the documentation with all key stakeholders.
• Assist developers working with customers and/or software partners seeking to use the Stitch API to integrate with 3PLs, WMS, ecommerce, or other platforms.
• Lead technical calls to validate custom functionality via built-in workflows or the Stitch API and provide guidance on best practices.
• Monitor the progress of internal and external technical work related to integrations. Ensure milestones are being hit by that agreed timelines are being met.
• Create relationships with the developers working with current or prospective customers and serve as a technical resource for questions about the API and App.
Other Responsibilities:
• Work cross-functionally with the Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to meet (or exceed) Company goals for growth.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues associated with Stitch's API.
• Create and improve functional, interactive API documentation to decrease the time needed for customers and 3rd parties to develop integrations.
Experience & Skills:
• At least 2 years experience in a customer-facing technical role
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and/or others who do not have a technical background.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and MySQL
• Familiarity with XML, PHP, Company website, Swagger and JavaScript helpful but not required
