We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Solution Developer-Literacy in our Columbus, OH office. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the Sr. Product Manager, the Solution Developer-Literacy will be a dynamic, collaborative, eLearning professional, contributing to innovative, new services and solutions that take a literacy teacher professional development to the next level.
Critical Functions:
• Contribute to the conceptualization of synchronous and asynchronous digital products and services that engage teachers in rich and rewarding, professional development experiences.
• Follow instructional design guidelines to ensure optimal learner engagement and knowledge/skill retention.
• Review and edit content to meet instructional objectives and to adhere to style guides and manuals.
• Coordinate, curate, and/or develop professional development products and services, such as elearning modules, videos, webinars, and online learning communities.
• Develop requirements documents, including detailed specifications, storyboards, and wireframes.
• Edit video and other digital media using desktop tools to produce clips that engage and instruct.
• Build rapid, low-fi prototypes of digital apps, animations, interactive activities, etc. to demonstrate proof of concept.
• Manage digital content throughout the life cycle of product development, including prototyping, production, and product launch.
• Assist with the coordination of planning, production and maintenance of existing digital products and/or larger scale new digital products, and ensure these are developed in a consistent and cost-effective way.
• Manage the preparation, organization, tracking, and delivery of assets according to departmental guidelines.
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, instructional design, literacy education or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Two plus years of teaching literacy digital publishing or media development experience.
• Experience with digital instructional design, preferably in adult learning, training, or education.
• Understanding in literacy education.
• A strong working knowledge of rapid-development eLearning development tools, such as Articulate Storyline, HTML5, and Captivate.
• Ability to manage and deliver multiple digital projects simultaneously.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
A successful candidate may have:
• Understanding of teaching trends, pedagogy, and strategies for improving teaching and learning.
