About Us
Operations and Technical Services (O&TS) is the division that supports Company’s full portfolio of production, broadcast and media distribution businesses for both TV and Film. Services provided include technical and on-air operations, technology development, engineering and support, R&D, and corporate services such as real estate, facilities and security.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for analysing and translating business requirements into software requirements, developing software and supporting existing software applications and interfaces.
Qualifications/Requirements
Requirements
•Good understanding of how to translate business requirements into technical specifications for development into applications
•Good understanding of programme and web-based design and production processes
•Experience in .NET Framework, in particular C#, MVC, classic ASP and Entity framework
•Experience with XML, XSLT, HTML 5, JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout, Angular and responsive design with Bootstrap or similar framework
•Programming with MS SQL Server, Oracle PLSQL and database manipulation.
•Maintenance of existing software programmes
•Experience with working with agile development methodologies and project lifecycles
•Maintain and update software standards, policies and procedures
•Knowledge of security mechanisms around web development and implementation
•Experience with testing, exception and error handling in web applications
•Experience with issue impacting on quality of service (performance tuning, reliability and maintainability)
•Experience with web services and ESB an advantage
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science and/or relevant Microsoft Certification (Company website.NET)
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
