Social Media Manager, Allure
Company website is seeking a smart, creative social media manager to help execute social media strategy and oversee engagement across platforms. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the Senior Social Media Editor to grow the brand’s social footprint with engaging daily updates, social-first content planning, and audience tracking.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of what content types—written or visual—inspire engagement on various social networks and should demonstrate versatility in a fast-paced environment while maintaining critical thinking skills and professionalism. With a finger on the pulse of the beauty industry, s/he should also have a strong desire to be a part of the brand’s legacy—and future by helping to shape the Allure brand voice and presence on social.
Primary responsibilities:
• Write, schedule, and optimize daily social media updates across multiple social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, and Google+
• Work with the audience development team to continuously update and optimize social strategy to ensure the brand meets its site-wide growth goals
• Update social media calendars and lineups beyond the daily scheduling queue
• Work with integrated marketing teams to manage requests and draft social copy for branded content campaigns, when needed
• Communicate and coordinate with the Senior Social Media Editor on all event coverage plans
• Monitor and report on brand social performance metrics and KPIs (followers, reach, engagement, traffic, etc.)
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with social managers within and outside of Company, and assist with content swap partnerships
• Pitch both news and feature ideas in weekly digital edit meetings
Requirements:
• At least 3 years relevant social media experience
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Intimate knowledge of the social media landscape and analytics platforms
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• A passion for the beauty industry and a knowledge of its key players
• Familiarity with social video and best practices across platforms
• Video editing experience preferred
