We are now seeking a Social Media Manager to manage a growing social media presence, developing our community and ensuring THE OUTNET delivers innovative and best-in-class experiences within the social media space. You will have a strong interest in social media and the commercial impact it has, and be up to speed on all new and developing social media and digital innovations. You will ensure that THE OUTNET’s social platforms are generating buzz and excitement, which drives new visitors and buyers to the site and ensures THE OUTNET brand is top of mind in new and existing markets. You will work closely with our internal teams - creative, editorial, marketing, PR, technology and production. The role requires strong cross-departmental management and the ability to inspire change and drive excitement.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Channels:
• Manage & implement THE OUTNET’s global social media strategy across multiple markets and multiple platforms
• Ensure trafficking of content, real-time engagement, and influencer outreach is efficient and meets social media amplification requirements
• Create unifying story-arcs across multiple marketing initiatives, working alongside Editorial, PR and other marketing channels to keep platforms updated with relevant, and engaging content
• Lead all social media initiatives, managing campaigns from start to finish - briefing, creative development, tech development, post-campaign analysis.
• Identify KPIs to measure success of social media platforms
• Oversee reporting across all social media activity, communicating to the wider business as relevant and aligned with weekly and monthly updates
• Research and implement new platforms and tools to drive digital innovation, meet business needs, improve efficiencies, reach new audiences/markets and measure success
• Provide ongoing analysis, key insights and recommendations to optimise performance of social media and reinform various areas of the business
• Idea generation - maintaining THE OUTNET’s competitive edge by delivering innovative social media initiatives and solutions
• Work in partnership with the Creative team on ideation, production and executional for seasonal campaigns including ATL adverting
• Manage production for all social media content including photo and video shoots
• Use knowledge of social media platforms to recommend promotional marketing opportunities, working alongside internal teams and/or agency to bring to market
• Identify new avenues to grow communities in focus markets to increase engagement across platforms, impact SEO, drive traffic to site, and influence sales that attract new customers and support stock sell-through
External Relationship Management:
• Manage and select appropriate agencies/partners/vendors as needed in conjunction with the Acting Global Head of Marketing
• Foster successful agency, partner and platform relationships to ensure efficient and sustainable initiatives, working across Company Group when relevant
• Develop opportunities which drive innovation and deliver press-worthy activity
• Shape and engage in conversations among consumers, bloggers and traditional media to ensure the maximum positive exposure
Internal Communications:
• Work across departments to deliver content supporting a variety of business priorities: marketing projects, sell-through of stock, brand awareness, etc.
• Keep up-to-date with the world of social media and digital innovations by reading. blogs, websites & newsletters – sharing knowledge across the business
Strategy, Budget & Planning:
• Support/manage the annual budget and strategic planning for THE OUTNET social media channels, adjusting on a quarterly basis to ensure business objectives are met
• Manage annual roadmap, reviewing regularly to ensure social media activity aligns with business objectives
• Work alongside dedicated Social Media Executive and multiple creative production stakeholders to plan and execute the social media content calendar, influencer outreach and ongoing engagement
• Day-today implementation of budget for THE OUTNET social media channels
• Collaborate with Art Director and Editorial Director on bringing to life content strategy across all social media channels including optimizing content for performance and engagement
Management:
• Three direct reports: Junior Designer, Social Media Executive, Intern
• Cross-departmental management is key, overseeing a projects and BAU initiatives with senior members of multiple departments across the business
Essential Skills & Requirements:
• Graduate or equivalent with proven marketing experience, in luxury fashion, digital marketing, and/or retail
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proven track record of creating engaging content across multiple social media platforms and devices for a global brand, technology company and / or social media communications at agency or in-house
• English proficiency
• Direct experience of managing content across US, APAC and EMEA
• Skilled photographer needed for photo and video
• Creative advisor to team, including experience of working with Creative production team and managing production process
• Deep understanding of all things digital, with a passion for social media
• Balanced commercial acumen with creative flair, exemplified through proven track record of implementing successful and innovative marketing campaigns
• Understand the mix of paid, earned, owned media mix and inform when and where it is appropriate to promote content through each channel
• Understanding of luxury retail, fashion industries and the discount retail industry
• Knowledge of social media tools, preferably: scheduling/posting, reporting/analysis, bidding/optimisation
• Must be detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills
• Impeccable communications skills: writing, content development, presentation
• Good technical understanding
• Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
• Experience of working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities
• Highly organised and exceptional planning capabilities
• Establish standards and procedures to ensure best practices are implemented, with the ability to change (and influence change) as needed
• Ability to think clearly and calmly when faced with issues or problems
• Ability to cope well with the demands of a rapidly growing company
• Must be able to lead and influence creative talents

• Willing to work outside normal office hours when needed

Location: London, W12
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
