The Role:
Ticketmaster Resale’s Marketing Department is seeking a social media, summer intern, who will assist in the implementation of its social marketing efforts for the Ticketmaster Resale social sites, specifically in the following areas: Facebook and Twitter community management, content management and distribution, analytics and client promotions. Our overarching goals are to connect with live entertainment fans in a thoughtful, welcoming manner; encourage engagement with the Ticketmaster Resale brands; and offer relevant and timely information about upcoming shows. This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Gain working knowledge of social media through assisting with maintenance of Ticketmaster Resale partner social pages (Facebook, Twitter, Google+)
Learn about sweepstakes processes and strategies through tracking multiple sweepstakes occurring at any given time and assist in prize fulfillment
Develop analytical skills by generating reports on fan and follower growth in Social Media communities
Learn how to formalize and present ideas in the form of corporate proposals through assisting with marketing and promotion proposals for Ticketmaster Resale properties
Understand the execution of promotions on Twitter and Facebook
Stay current on the ever-changing social landscape through research of ongoing projects including Social Media conferences, tools and promotions. Develop strategies on how to present these ideas to management
Other learning opportunities s as assigned
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
Must be eligible for school credit (and able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have an avid interest in live entertainment. Knowledgeable about artists and genres, sports, theatre, and an overall interest in learning about the live entertainment industry
Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel
Working knowledge of HTML programming and HTML editors a plus
Full-day attendance at least twice a week
