Social Media Director, Vogue
The Role

For that reason, Vogue is looking for a smart, experienced Director of Social Media to lead the strategy and execution of Vogue’s presence on every major and emerging social media platform. Candidates should be extremely adept at utilizing social strategy and tactics to increase social engagement and click-through, and should be able to pair taste with quantitative findings to make decisions on everything from copy and voice to types of brand collaborators and new social platforms.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with Vogue’s senior leadership team to develop and execute creative programming for Vogue’s social channels
• Bring new, innovative ideas to the table and push the brand’s boundaries on social platforms
• Work with digital, print, and creative departments to ensure that social strategy is baked into every part of the editorial process, and secure exclusive content for social channels including behind-the-scenes photos, videos, on-site coverage from live events, and tentpole activations
• Spearhead, manage, and oversee social partnerships both within Company and externally with like-minded brands
• Develop original social-first franchises that can be sold to advertisers
• Collaborate with editors to pitch, conceptualize, and optimize content to perform on social
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience managing social media for a large brand or media publisher
• Exceptional leadership skills to grow, build and retain a talented team of social media professionals
• A strong knowledge of social data and social analytics tools a must
• Proven experience hitting key social KPIs: social engagement & audience traffic growth
• Excellent editorial judgment, writing skills, and ability to capture Vogue’s voice to reach new and established audiences
• Confident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced media environment
• Strong interest in fashion, beauty, and cultural trends
