Job Responsibilities:
• Manage & post content for Free People Showroom social media accounts (@freepeopleshowroom)
• Research inspiration content for posts
• Capture BTS content during wholesale photo shoots in NY (lookbook shoots, linesheet shoots, events, etc)
• Create and maintain a social media calendar for short-term initiatives and long-term brand campaigns to grow following & engagement
• Work with freelance content creator on West Coast to communicate big ideas and manage content from her partnership
• Manage and maintain the monitoring and analytics systems to track social media engagement and results; create weekly & monthly recaps
• Stay appraised of emerging social media technologies, trends and industry news that align with Free People, wholesale marketing, and business goals
• Monitor wholesale accounts social activity for violations of policy. Work with key accounts on asset requests for use on their social media
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing, business administration, English or communications
• 1-2 years experience in social media as a coordinator or strategist. Experience within the wholesale business preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge and immersion in social media
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Google+) and how each platform can be used in different scenarios
• Ability to create and capture imagery and video for use on social channels
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and effectively communicate social media performance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as at least one social media monitoring tool
