Camp Skylemar seeks a fun, dynamic, responsible and experienced coach to direct our soccer programs. The soccer director responsible for planning and leading soccer programs during camp season. Director will supervise college-aged staff of 4-6 assistants. We have numerous teams at various age levels that play against other camps. Staff also referee games and run several tournaments.
Applicants should have a strong soccer background plus teaching and/or coaching experience. The soccer director should be comfortable teaching all levels (novice to advanced) of boys ages 7 - 16. Soccer director must share in our belief that nothing is more important than safety. Group and individual instruction.
You will receive a salary of $3,500 - $4,000 for the 9 week season, depending on skills and experience. We also cover room, board, staff shirts, Internet access, travel expenses, and laundry service. Families welcome. Possible camp scholarships for children and job for spouse.
The position runs from June 11 through August 15, 2017.
Applicants should be a college graduate and current teacher or coach.
NOTES:
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: We also cover housing, meals, travel expenses, internet access, days off, laundry service and staff shirts.
About Camp Skylemar
Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in the Lakes Region of southern Maine. Enrollment is limited to 160 boys from across the country as well as abroad, who attend for 7 weeks. The program features land and water athletics (soccer, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, basketball, football, archery, swimming, water-skiing, wake-surfing, wake-boarding, sailing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding etc.) as well as outdoor oriented activities (hiking, camping, ropes & challenge course, outdoor education, backpacking, climbing, campcraft). Non-athletic activities include cooking, drama, arts, graphic design, woodworking, crafts, photography, science, tutoring, video, radio & sports broadcasting.
