We are looking for a Senior Vice President of Search to join our leadership team. Company Search powers findability and discovery across all of the Company products. The diversity and scale of the data is unprecedented -- over 300B records, with 7B updates a day spanning relational data, unstructured content and social graph data. As data volumes are growing and customers are expecting more intelligence in their products, never has search been more important.
As SVP of Engineering for Search, you will own our strategy and execution to deliver an enterprise cloud search platform and intelligent search products on that platform. The executive leading this area will manage, grow, and inspire a world-class, global team of technologists and managers, developing new technology to establish search as a market differentiator in Company products, enable efficient and productive navigation for our users and be a driver for our business. Partnership with GMs, CTOs and UX across product lines, along with customer and industry facing engagement, are key to achieving this.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Vice President of Search will own and drive search at Company. The selected candidate must be a technical leader with a strong delivery focus and be able to build trust with customers, executive stakeholders, and the Technology and Products teams.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Building strong, inspired, global teams in a matrixed organization.
• Delivering and executing a compelling product strategy for search.
• Owning the talent development strategy and team growth for the search teams to create the best search team in the industry.
Minimum Requirements:
• 10 years managing, mentoring, motivating and growing a mature and goal-driven delivery team; must have strong history of building strong organizations and leadership development.
• Strong technologist with deep understanding of search, discovery, relevance, and data science technologies and large scale distributed architecture.
• Proven ability to create and deliver a successful product, technical and business strategy factoring all aspects of a fully developed plan including technology, people, finance and process.
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree.
Preferred Requirements:
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, systems, and network engineering.
• Results oriented, with the ability to move forward without complete information.
• Strong customer focus and comfortable leading a dev ops/service ownership team.
• Experience in the CRM or enterprise software space.
