We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Vice President to lead our Paid Media strategy, planning and buying capability in New York at Edelman.

You wish to build and lead the practice that will apply paid media strategies and cutting-edge advertising technology to amplify the communications of our client base. Armed with senior relationships at premier media outlets and pioneering technology platforms, you will help to shape our Practice and the marketing strategies of our clients. You understand media math and measurement, attribution, and optimization. Where others see media fragmentation and eroding ad value, you see an opportunity to build business for Edelman in data-driven, real-time marketing and storytelling.
We are at a critical juncture in communications where the online market conversation has never been louder, further reaching, nor more active. Social media and digital marketing are no longer “nice to haves” in the communications mix, they are essential to a brand’s overall image and success.
We are looking for a SVP Paid Media with:
• Experience with analytica platforms spanning Google, Adobe, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with holistic media oversight, inclusive of search, display, online video, paid social, SEO, email, affiliate, OOH, print, radia and TV a plus.
• Knowledge of MMM methodologies, providers, etc.
• Familiar with personalization and audience management technolofy spanning the spectrum of DMP, CRM, DSP, cross-device technology, etc.
• Has successfully led media investment at the brand or business unit level for top US advertisers.
• Expertise with 3rd party data providers and online-to-offline measurement.
Responsibilities of the SVP, New York Paid Media include:
• Strengthen the practice leadership team for Paid Media; develop vision and strategy for the practice
• Identify, create, share and implement new processes and initiatives to help clients, internal partners and/or departments accomplish their communication goals.
• Strategize with colleagues to prioritize and plan for pursuit of Media business development targets, by vertical, specialty practice area, and company importance.
• Advise on strategies to improve the RFP win rate, participate in, and at times lead, important pitches for media assignments
• Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets
• Initiate, structure, and engage high impact strategic partnerships (both internal and external)
• Develop and manage senior relationships, including C-Suite, with Edelman’s major clients to provide strategic counsel
• Identify and develop senior talent in the media practice
• Build and maintain Edelman’s reputation in the paid media space in the interests of business development and attracting top talent
Qualifications we are seeking in an SVP, New York Paid Media candidate:
• Proven 10+ year track record of pitching innovative media strategies to advertisers across all industry verticals
• Strong senior relationships at media companies, clients and emerging technology providers to enable near-term business opportunities
• Relentless drive to review and improve processes, best practices, organizational structures and personnel for optimal results
• Demonstrated ability to develop, market, and integrate intellectual capital, POV, and offerings that address media trends and needs, company vision and strategy, and practice goals
• Collaborative and empowering approach to team, project, and practice leadership
• Ability to focus on opportunities that have the most strategic and financial impact for the agency
• Track record of consistently meeting revenue goals
• Demonstrated ability to target and penetrate key prospects and influence decision-makers
• Ability to understand client stated and unstated business goals
• Extensive agency or professional services experience and a visionary leader who inspires and motivates a team
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams during the sales process in order to create compelling solutions for prospective clients
• Self-driven, confident and analytical as well as possess excellent presentation and communication skills
