Job Description
The SVP, ECommerce will have direct P&L responsibility for Company’s ECommerce business through strategic positioning of the company website and maximization of third party relationships in order to support the long-term growth of the Direct segment.
Required Skills
Provide leadership to the ECommerce business to reach its full potential in sales and profits.
Partner extensively through the organization (Merchandising, CRM, Finance and others) to develop and support cross-company multi-channel customer strategies that lead to increased market share across all product lines and consumer segments.
Identify new growth vehicles and strategies to meet sales and profit expectations.
Establish and build key internal and external partnerships in support of increased profitability regarding customer service, marketing, site design, order fulfillment and technology advancement.
Partner with EVP/CMO on creating integrated marketing programs that cohesively speak to our customer during every interaction including direct marketing, in-store marketing, advertising, etc.
Leverage Marketing and CRM teams to develop customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Partner with EVP/CIO to insure maximization of site functionality.
Spearhead customer insight initiatives to drive site merchandising and product development activities. Partner with Merchandising to achieve optimal results.
Analyze and make recommendations on all marketing programs that best support the direct-channel and provide acceptable and measurable ROI.
Identify and enhance all search marketing efforts.
Create and execute customer market research programs that provide insights into merchandising & product development activities.
Drive seasonal sales & profit plans, ensuring strategic and budgetary goals are met.
Lead, coach and develop the members of the ECommerce team.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Currently 14+ ECommerce Team Members
Required Experience
Minimum of 15 years General Management experience with a minimum of 5 years in an internet-related business.
Experience in retail or consumer goods.
High-level strategic thinker who has a solid understanding of business strategy as well as experience integrating Marketing/Merchandising objectives into overall strategy.
Experience managing complex technical marketing, database and site-functionality-related initiatives.
Experience managing an outsourced site, while maximizing opportunities to improve the customer experience and increase sales.
Diplomatic, tactful and patient leader, who can provide leadership, set high standards, foster creativity and flexibility, motivate and bring innovation to the business.
Professional, articulate person who can effectively collaborate in a cross functional team environment and communicate effectively at the highest levels of management.
Strong sense of urgency and the ability to embrace and maximize a changing landscape.
Strong budget management skills with the ability to create superior results at efficient costs.
Strong project management skills.
Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
Strong oral communications and presentation skills.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree; MBA a plus
