Description
The primary function is to provide oversight and leadership for the TL team, while also having direct and frequent client involvement for critical projects and ongoing dialogue. The candidate and the TL team will be responsible for providing best-in-class content and solutions to Strategic & Focus clients at the senior Treasurer and C-Suite level. Also, they will also be directly responsible for expanding external client dialogue and increasing mind-share with senior decision makers, as well as promoting internal collaboration across banking, capital financing and markets functions.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Team Leader and Player Coach
• Be a champion and steward for global Thought Leadership goals
• Help prioritize work flow
• Responsible for quality control
• Assist the team in looking for the next theme
• Anticipate client needs
• Communication steward within the region, other GTL teams and global head
• Appropriately apply global themes to local region (look through the client lens)
• Look to scale ideas and solutions
• Keep the focus on analyzing client situations and problems rather than on product innovation
• Coordinate with structuring teams on current and future projects
• Coordinate with partners and colleagues such as Capital Finance and Banking
• Manage team to adhere to global standards for behavior, communication, coordination, performance
• Coordinate with regional CRS and CTS leadership to make sure the business is providing proper content and service
• Conceptualize, discuss, implement, manage and run various seminars, client events, campaigns and initiatives for the Region
• Ensure accountability for the team
Management of Risk
• Each employee must be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
• Each employee must ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
• Each employee must promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Company brand.
Observation of Internal Controls
• Each employee must maintain Company internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Any failures to comply with the above should be reflected in year end performance assessments.
• Each employee must understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
Qualifications
• Proven team leadership skills
• Experience with sales to corporate clients
• Good presentation skills
• Good understanding of Capital Markets, interest rate derivatives and foreign exchange
• Execute analytics, modeling or accounting as needed
• Ability to review, enhance and innovate in risk analytics
• Ability to translate market needs into marketable solutions for clients
