Description
Position Summary:
Develop the MAC global consumer engagement, content and channel marketing strategies needed to build and engage the MAC community. Drive digitization to develop and deliver innovative consumer engagement strategies and assets. Partner with Regions and Affiliates to develop relevant and compelling marketing messages, with locally relevant extensions, and to quickly and effectively deliver them to consumers.
Principle Accountabilities:
Lead development of the Brand marketing ecosystem
• Build an Omni channel strategy that creates a synchronous marketing ecosystem.
• Work with the Brand President and E-commerce to maximize the contribution of social/digital marketing to the MAC marketing ecosystem.
• Work with FSS, Travel Retail trade marketing leaders to understand engagement and content requirements to maximize and optimize go-to-market performance.
• Leverage social/digital data to measure and manage channel, content and media performance.
• Develop 360 marketing capabilities. Work with Regions and Affiliates to optimize spend across media.
• Ensure that all creative is consistent and provides a seamless experience for the consumer.
• Govern Brand online marketing. Drive the development of innovative global online marketing programs and capabilities.
Build revenue and market share for the Brand
• Develop innovative and high ROI consumer engagement and go-to-market strategies and assets.
• Optimize the use of earned, paid and owned media to drive full-funnel marketing.
• Create, develop and apply innovative marketing, content and brand strategies to grow brands to drive users, audiences, consumers and revenue. Lead digitalization of market assets.
• Identify and build creative technology solutions for the brand that increase efficiency, reduce spend and increase marketing reach.
• Manage costs across agencies, asset management and visual merchandising for campaigns. Develop standards for economies of scale.
• Manage the budget across Consumer Marketing groups.
• Evaluate existing store experience. Work with the Brand lead and key partner to reposition brand experience to match across platforms.
Measurement, Analytics and Customer Relationship Management
• Lead the development of MAC consumer information capabilities.
• Leverage digital analytics and consumer insights to drive marketing relevance.
• Drive the relevance, integration and personalization of consumer communications and relationships.
• Work closely with Insights team and Corporate to identify new customer segmentation.
• Understand changing trends in the industry with futurists, competitors and economists.
• Build and align a consistent CRM platform for the Brand.
• Develop a strategy with the retailers and internal ELC partners to harness all the data and make it accessible.
• Translate data into key goals and revenue targets.
• Evaluate the performance data of all channels. Pivot strategy to match what consumer needs.
People Leadership
• Partner closely with Human Resources to evaluate talent strategy.
• Identify key skills that are teachable and those that must be brought in by discipline experts within or outside of the Beauty Industry.
• Hire for the future philosophy; identify the skills that will move the Brand to be a leader in consumer engagement across all platforms.
Process Improvement and Alignment
• Understand the pain points of the region and affiliates. Build and align goals across all levels of the matrix to ensure everyone is working to reduce redundancies, spend and increase efficiencies for the consumers globally.
• Clearly articulate hand offs with an Omni channel strategy.
• Act and decide when it’s common knowledge that something is not working. Identify the root cause of the problem and negotiate a solution with all key partners.
• Facilitate lessons learned and ad hoc meetings with Direct Reports

Experience
• 20 + years of relevant marketing experience
• Progressive experience in high performing lifestyle companies
• Experience in managing a wide range of marketing assets (education, promotions, PR, influencers, storytelling)
• Proven track record in engaging consumers through social/digital channels
• Proven leadership in a global/matrixed business environment. Experience with managing product development, creative and communications functions
• Experience with managing complex relationships across a matrixed organization
Education
• Relevant undergraduate degree; MBA preferred
