Senior Tax Accountant

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Federal and State Income Taxes with primary responsibility for income tax compliance and financial accounting and reporting of income taxes.
Position Responsibilites
This position will play an integral role in the tax and accounting functions within our Finance department. Specifically:
• Assist in the preparation of worldwide annual and quarterly income tax provision under ASC 740
• Prepare and/or review U.S. federal and state income tax returns (consolidated and stand-alone entities) and prepare supporting schedules, including state apportionment
• Prepare local gross receipts tax returns
• Prepare estimated tax and extension calculations and payments for U.S. entities
• Ownership of tax payments schedule, including ongoing updates to reflect payments made, refunds received, and other adjustments
• Address tax notices, including direct correspondence with taxing jurisdictions
• Assist with income tax audits from various taxing jurisdictions
• Assist in developing internal tax process improvements
• Other duties as assigned
Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• 2-6 years of tax experience, including preparation or review of income tax provisions and income tax returns
• CPA certification preferred
• Experience using OneSource Tax Provision software a plus
• PeopleSoft accounting and RIA Checkpoint tax research experience a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with all levels of internal personnel and outside consultants regarding tax issues
• Self-motivated, has the ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytic and problem solving skills
• Strong computer skills, particularly with general ledger/systems, spreadsheets, and word processing
