Senior Release Manager
Crackle is an ad and subscription based streaming video network that offers consumers access to full-length Hollywood movies, TV shows, and original series -- all uncut, uncensored, and free. Crackle is currently available on 28+ applications and platforms across web, mobile/tablet, smart TVs and video game consoles in 21 countries and 3 languages. Crackle is a part of Company Television, one of the industry’s leading content providers producing, distributing and delivering programming worldwide in every genre and every platform.
The Sr. Release Manager works with Scrum / Project Managers as they incorporate Agile Scrum methodologies to deploy updates across the Crackle ecosystem. This position ensures that release candidates are promoted to production and socialize their deployments to stakeholders and throughout the organization.
The Sr. Release Manager will report to the VP of Digital Delivery.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage delivery of product roadmap features while working closely with the Product team for requirements and scope
• Manage the certification of apps to applicable marketplace storefronts while working with internal business development and marketing teams for stunts and marketing collateral
• Coordinate go-no-go meetings with internal stakeholders
• Coordinate demos with internal stakeholders
• Provide management reporting on delivery status
• Properly socialize any delivery issues, dependencies or risks
• Provide realistic and finite launch dates to the organization
• Build an effective release process that works on a global scale
• Hold retrospectives with stakeholders and assist in evaluating KPI performance
• Any other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• At least 5+ years experience in a commercial agile environment with at least 3+ years leading project and delivery teams
• Use cutting-edge practices in Project Management, Product design, Requirement Analysis, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Automation & Unit Testing in a software development environment
• Proven capability in managing team dynamics, building team relationships, and delivering constructive feedback
• Experience in release planning, estimation, capacity planning and managing project risks
• Demonstrable in-depth experience in one of the following areas: OTT (Over-the-Top) delivery of video content, large-scale web and mobile sites, native mobile applications or gaming consoles
• An awareness of current development, design and QA tools and their usage
